I made a free browser card game where your hand shrinks as you play (and a bad call costs 50 points)

Hey everyone! I’m a solo dev and I just launched Claim: Race to Zero, a fast-paced multiplayer card game built for quick matches directly in the browser—no accounts, no downloads.

I wanted a game driven by hand optimization, calculated risk, and timing rather than complicated deck-building. I was teached the game in real life and I was unable to find an online one.

How it works: The Goal: Lowest cumulative score wins. Points accumulate across rounds, and the game ends as soon as anyone reaches 300 points. The Shrinking Hand Mechanic: You start with 4 cards. On your turn, you must discard 1 to 4 cards of the exact same rank (e.g., pair of 8s, three Jacks). However, you only draw 1 card back (from the deck or the top of the discard pile). This means your hand size shrinks as you play! Card Values: 2–10 = face value Ace = 1 point J = 12, Q = 13, K = 14 Atu cards = 0 points (regardless of rank) Calling CLAIM!: When Claim opens, if you believe your hand has strictly the lowest points at the table, you call "CLAIM!" at the start of your turn.

Correct Claim (you have the lowest hand): You get 0 points for the round. Wrong Claim (someone has equal or fewer points): You get hit with a 50-point penalty.

Everyone else: Simply scores whatever points they are holding in their hand.

It creates a tense dynamic where discarding matching sets shrinks your hand fast, but waiting too long allows others to drop their points even lower.

You can play it directly in your browser (desktop & mobile) against friends or bots: https://playclaim.net I’d love to hear your feedback on the pacing and the risk/reward of the 50-point penalty!
