Nova Survival: iOS Testing Challenges & Development Progress
Nova Survival: iOS Testing Challenges & Development Progress
Geliştirici Günlüğü (İngilizce)
Bringing Nova Survival to iOS has been an exciting journey, but not without its challenges.
As an independent developer, I’ve been working on expanding Nova Survival beyond Android and bringing the experience to Apple devices.
During the App Store testing and review process, we encountered two technical issues that required additional attention.
- Haptic Feedback Issues
One of the problems discovered during testing involved the vibration settings.
The vibration toggle was not functioning as expected on iOS devices, preventing players from properly controlling haptic feedback through the game’s settings.
I’m currently investigating the issue and working on improving the implementation to ensure the feature behaves correctly across supported Apple devices.
- In-App Purchase Issues
Another significant challenge involved the in-app purchase system.
During testing, some purchases were automatically cancelled, while others remained stuck in the “Processing” state for an extended period without completing successfully.
Since in-app purchases are an important part of Nova Survival’s customization and progression systems, resolving these issues is a priority.
I’m reviewing the purchase handling process, transaction states, and error management to improve reliability and ensure a smoother purchasing experience.
What’s Next?
My current focus is on:
- Fixing vibration settings and improving iOS compatibility.
- Investigating cancelled and delayed in-app purchases.
- Improving transaction handling and purchase reliability.
- Preparing a more stable build for the next App Store review.
Every challenge is an opportunity to improve.
Nova Survival started as an independent project, and every update brings it closer to the experience I want to deliver.
The Android version is already available, and I’m continuing to work toward bringing Nova Survival to iOS.
Thank you for following the development journey. More updates are coming soon!
