Volt-Man is live on PixelPicked — help us test the Kinetic Warren beta

Volt-Man: Kinetic Warren has been approved on PixelPicked, and the playable beta demo is ready. We’re Tohunga-Tech, an indie studio from Aotearoa New Zealand, and we’d love your feedback.

Play as Volt, a black miniature schnauzer facing a neon rabbit uprising. Dash through attacks, fire electric ZAPs and unleash Surge. Explore eight districts and 29 campaign chambers, collect upgrades and face two bosses. Choose Stormcaller, Night Hunter or Riftwalker, then try The Warren, Daily Signal or Crown Rush.

What’s in the current beta

Version 0.10.1 builds on the Kinetic Warren update with clearer action poses and hazard warnings, adjustable touch controls, graphics presets and more reliable score submission. The latest patch distinguishes your device best from your online best and retries eligible fresh scores after a connection returns. Resumed runs remain practice.

Career progression, contracts, the Volt Den and the Workshop are ready to explore. Keyboard controls are WASD/arrows to move, Space to zap, Shift to dash and E for Surge. On phones, use the touch controls. Reduced-motion and reduced-flash options are available in Settings.

We’re especially interested in movement and aiming on phones, enemy readability, difficulty, useful upgrades, and performance on real devices. Tell us your device/browser, what happened, and what you expected. Screenshots help. Honest first impressions are welcome too.

Play the demo on this page, or use the official live game for live leaderboards. The PixelPicked demo saves progress and scores locally. The beta is currently playable in a browser; an Android store release is still to come.
