๐Ÿˆ A Better Start, Same Tough Challenge!

futebol_americano_runner_gameplay

Learning the game should be fun. Mastering it should be a challenge.

One of the biggest challenges in American Football Runner has always been surviving long enough to score that first touchdown.

With this update, I've focused on improving the early-game experience, helping new players understand the mechanics, practice their skills, and feel their progress โ€” without removing the challenge that makes winning so satisfying.

Here's what's new!

๐ŸŽฎ A Completely Improved Tutorial

The beginning of your journey is now more interactive and easier to follow.

  • Four guided encounters teach you how to handle different defenders.
  • Visual warnings (!, !!, !!!) help you recognize incoming threats.
  • Checkpoints and retries let you practice each movement.
  • New guidance teaches you how to deal with high jumps and fast descents.

Instead of just explaining the controls, the game now teaches you through action.

๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Practice, Earn Points & Unlock Skills

After completing the tutorial, players receive 20 Training Points (PT) and can choose their next step.

  • Free Training: Practice your reflexes with unlimited attempts on a course of up to 100 yards, with distance progress saved.
  • Improved Hub: A new guided introduction explains the main features, currencies, and training center.
  • Skill Training: Unlock abilities like Pisรฃo (Stomp) and Tranco (Power Hit), then immediately learn how to use them.

Skill demonstrations can also be resumed later, so you won't lose your place if you leave the game.

๐Ÿ’ช Every Defeat Is Part of the Journey

Losing is part of American Football Runner. But early defeats should help you learn, not leave you wondering what to do next.

Until you score your first official career touchdown, a new progress screen helps you follow your journey after each defeat.

Once you reach that milestone, the normal defeat screen returns.

Classic defeat feedback is also back in Solo Mode.

The challenge hasn't disappeared. You just have a clearer path toward overcoming it.

๐Ÿ“ฐ Better Match News & Field Visuals

A few extra improvements make the experience feel more polished:

  • Post-match newspaper articles now display their full headlines and stories, with scrolling support.
  • The Continue button remains accessible while reading.
  • The endzone has a refreshed appearance, featuring a blue strip, clearer boundaries, and vertical ENDZONE lettering.

The touchdown scoring mechanics remain unchanged.

๐Ÿš€ What's Next?

This update is all about making those first steps more enjoyable while keeping the satisfaction of earning your victories.

American Football Runner is still a game about timing, reflexes, persistence, and building your career from the ground up.

Your first touchdown should feel earned. And now, the road to getting there is clearer.

๐Ÿˆ I'd love to hear your thoughts!

What matters most to you in a challenging game: better tutorials, more freedom to practice, or seeing your progress even when you lose?

Thanks for following the development of American Football Runner!
