# Alenir Idle v0.5.2 Devlog: Homestead Warehouse & Tavern Focus

Welcome to v0.5.2, the Homestead Warehouse & Tavern Focus update.

This update introduces permanent, rebirth-proof item storage to your Homestead, overhauls building and gold costs across all nine rooms to give endgame economies meaningful sinks, and delivers four top quality-of-life suggestions submitted by heroes in the Astral Tavern.

Nobody loses a level, an existing room upgrade, an item, or a prestige point in this update. Existing homestead rooms remain at their current levels. Everything below applies to new upgrades and storage going forward.

1. The Homestead Warehouse

Since the Homestead arrived in Alenir, it has stood as your hero's permanent estate across rebirths. Your farm plots, stables, and reliquary resonance persist through Prestige and Ascension. The missing piece was a place to stash gear and materials you want to keep safe across those resets.

The Warehouse is now available as the ninth Homestead room.

  • Persistent Rebirth-Proof Stash: Items placed in the Warehouse remain completely untouched when you Prestige or Ascend. When you reset to Level 1, your stashed items are waiting for you.
  • Level-Gated Equipping Stays Fair: High-tier weapons and armor saved in the Warehouse cannot be equipped until your character reaches the required level again.
  • Capacity Progression: The Warehouse starts at 10 slots at Level 1, gaining +10 slots per room upgrade up to 50 slots at Level 5.
  • Allowed Items: Weapons, armor, accessories, tools, skill cards, crafting materials, ingredients, and consumables can all be deposited. Quest items are strictly excluded to keep storyline progression intact.
  • Stacking Mechanics: Stashing materials or consumables merges them into existing stacks without taking up extra warehouse slots.
  • Quick Bag Deposit & Header Shortcut: You can deposit directly from your bag in the item inspect pane. The Inventory header also features a direct shortcut displaying your current stash usage (
    Warehouse X/50
    ).

2. Homestead Sink Overhaul

Until now, Homestead room upgrades required modest amounts of early-game gold and basic gathered materials. Once a hero reached mid-to-late game, gold and gathered supplies accumulated with few sinks to absorb them.

All nine Homestead rooms now feature a rebalanced, tiered progression curve:

  • Level 1 to 2 (Early Game): Remains accessible to developing heroes, requiring standard tier materials and modest gold.
  • Level 3 to 4 (Mid Game): Introduces hybrid domain reagents (such as refined ingots, processed timber, essences, and crafted components) alongside hundreds of thousands in gold.
  • Level 5 (Endgame Sink): Serves as a true long-term goal. Standard rooms now require between 5,000,000 and 10,000,000 gold plus high-tier materials (such as Mythril bars, Astral essence, and rare gems). The Mythic Reliquary Level 5 expansion requires 25,000,000 gold.
  • Grandfather Invariant: Heroes who already upgraded rooms prior to v0.5.2 keep their existing levels without paying retroactive differences.

3. Four Astral Tavern Suggestions Shipped

We pulled four of the most requested features directly from the suggestion boards in the Astral Tavern:

Item Set Descriptions in Recipes (Suggested by Rayne)

Before crafting an armor piece or weapon, it was hard to know whether it belonged to an item set or what bonuses that set provided without consulting external guides. Crafting recipe cards now feature a compact

[Set Name]
badge. Hovering or tapping the badge opens an instant tooltip previewing total piece count and every bonus threshold (2-piece, 3-piece, 4-piece, etc.).

Auto "Stop on Quest" via Guide (Suggested by Kugaraya)

Using the Quest Guide to navigate to a target monster, gathering node, or crafting recipe now automatically arms the "Stop on Quest" checkbox for you. Once the required kills or items are completed, your hero automatically stops to prevent wasted time or over-farming. A toggle in Settings > Automation allows you to turn this behavior off if you prefer manual selection.

Offline Crafting Auto-Sell (Suggested by BasHa)

Crafting dozens of equipment items while away previously risked filling your bag with low-rarity gear and triggering inventory overflow. Under Settings > Automation, a new toggle allows crafted gear at or below your chosen auto-sell rarity threshold to be liquidated into gold automatically during offline progress simulation.

Recipe & Gathering Node Pinning (Suggested by Rayne)

You can now star your favorite crafting recipes and gathering nodes. Pinned items immediately sort to the very top of their skill lists, making repetitive grinding and current projects easy to find without typing in search filters every time.

4. Quality of Life & Engine Polish

  • Solid Text Contrast: Fixed dark-mode contrast standards across warehouse and action buttons.
  • State Hasher & Migration Isolation: Warehouse persistence hooks strictly into
    homestead.warehouse
without dirtying core snapshot seeds or resetting player bag slots.
  • Zustand Selector Memoization: Hardened favorite recipe and node array selectors to ensure stable identity comparisons, eliminating unnecessary re-renders.
