Eldervale is on Google Play - every dawn takes a memory
Every dawn steals a memory, and now Eldervale is live on Google Play.
This is the first devlog for a game that started as one question: what if a kingdom was lit by a sun that fed on memory, and the only currency you had was what you were willing to forget?
What is in the release
27 handcrafted regions and six living towns. Not a procedurally scattered map - every road, ruin, and interior door was placed. Homes can be entered. Ruins can be searched. Environmental events and journal clues carry the main road forward when the compass is not enough.
Portrait combat built for one thumb. A flexible joystick, run, dodge, light and heavy attacks. Enemies telegraph intent before they swing, so stagger windows and skill chains are earned rather than guessed.
Three disciplines: Warden, Ranger, Arcanist. Warden holds ground with armour and a protective burst of light, Ranger trades safety for reach and tempo, Arcanist builds around relics and elemental effects. Gear, relics, and elemental interactions make the three feel different by mid-game, not just at the character screen.
A story with memory built into it. 26 quests, companion moments, four story bosses, and three endings. Side quests and travelling events feed the same world state, so a choice made early changes which routes and rewards you meet later.
43 meaningful items, crafting, upgrades, offline saves. No account required.
Behind the build
The interface is designed for a phone held in one hand: navy, gold, and ivory, with every menu reachable by thumb. Combat feedback went through several passes until every hit read clearly at arm's length, because a stagger you cannot see is a stagger that does not exist.
Art was generated and then edited in-house; the AI disclosure on the store page lists exactly what that covers.
What is next
More companion scenes, a second pass on relic variety, and post-ending content that lets you revisit the kingdom in the state you left it. If something in the current build feels thin, tell me below - specific feedback shapes the next patch more than anything else.
