Find My Car 1.5.0
You're not the only one who's lost on the lot anymore, and some of the other shoppers now need your help.
π Flat tyres
Now and then you'll see someone next to a car that sags on one corner. They'll wave you over. Tap them or their car and a tyre pump pops up (the game pauses while it's open). Pump the tyre into the green zone, but don't overdo it. They'll thank you with a bit of cash.
π "Can you drive it out for me?"
Some cars are parked in so tightly that their owners won't try to get out themselves. That's your job now. You get behind the wheel, the camera moves behind the car, and you have to steer it onto the marked spot in the aisle, facing the arrow.
The car handles like a real one: it only turns while it's rolling, and the back follows the front. Watch the neighbours:
- Bump into another car and it might set off its alarm.
- Three bumps and the owner takes over, not very happy about it.
- Drive too far away and they'll want to know where you're going with their car.
- You can always tap Give back the wheel to stop.
Park it cleanly and you get a bigger reward than for the tyre.
π You'll actually run into them now
While testing I spent ages running around the lot without seeing a single person in trouble. The chances were fine on paper, but it usually happened off-screen and far away. So now, every minute or so, a shopper who already needs help shows up somewhere near you and waves you over. If you ignore them long enough, they give up and sort it out themselves.
A small "!" on the edge of the screen points to anyone nearby who's waiting for help. It shows up only briefly and doesn't pop up for every person, so it won't nag you.
π§ A busier lot
There can now be up to 10 shoppers on the lot instead of 3. It feels more like a real supermarket car park. It's also a little more confusing when you're trying to find your own car, which is the point.
Small things
- Automatic ad breaks wait while you're driving someone's car.
- The waving animation is big enough to see from the high camera.
Thanks for playing! If you find a car you can't get out of, or a shopper doing something odd, let me know in the comments. π
