Getting Started
Hey everyone! Welcome to our very first developer log. For the past few months, we’ve been quietly putting together the building blocks for a game concept we’ve wanted to play for years: a deep, mechanically authentic MOBA Esports Management Simulator. If you love the macro-strategy of traditional sports managers but find your heart beats faster during a high-stakes Baron or Roshan contest, this project is built for you. Our goal is to move past surface-level stats and capture what truly makes competitive MOBAs special: the mind games of the draft and the chaotic, split-second shot-calling of live matches. Here is a look at what we've been building under the hood.
🕹️ The Core Pillar: Draft as Gameplay
In most management games, tactics are set via a slider or a pre-match drop-down menu. In a MOBA, the match is often won or lost before anyone steps onto the Rift or the River. We are developing a fully dynamic Pick & Ban System that acts as its own tactical battleground. As the manager, you will navigate an alternating draft phase against an AI that adapts to your choices in real time. • The Meta Curve: Champions/Heroes have distinct power curves, mechanical difficulty tiers, and synergy coefficients. • Counter-Picking: Leaving a signature hyper-carries open for the enemy team will actively punish you in the game simulation. • Flex Picks: You can draft multi-role characters to trick the enemy AI, forcing them to waste crucial bans on the wrong positions.
🧠 Real-Time Simulation & Tactical Decision Making
Once the loading screen clears, you aren't just a passive spectator. Our custom simulation engine processes the map minute-by-minute, simulating lanes, vision control, and macro objectives. The core loop relies heavily on your active In-Game Decision Making. When the simulation hits critical inflection points, the game pauses to hand control over to you. Every decision shifts your team's win probability and directly alters how team fights play out in the text and visual simulation log.
🏆 The Long Game: Career Mode Architecture
A great simulation needs a world that moves with or without you. Our Career Mode is designed to give you a true "zero-to-hero" trajectory. • From Local LANs to Worlds: You’ll start at the bottom tier of local, grassroots leagues with a tight budget of basic credits and tier-D free agents. Only by winning promotions can you unlock the funding to attract elite, star-tier talent. • Roster & Chemistry Management: Players aren't just stat blocks. They have distinct champion pools, mechanical caps, and evolving morale. If you force an aggressive playmaker onto a passive, supportive champion for too many games in a row, their motivation will drop, affecting team synergy. • Facility & Staff Upgrades: Outside the server, you will balance finances to sign sponsors, upgrade your gaming house, and hire specialized staff like analysts (to unlock deeper scouting reports on enemy draft tendencies) and sports psychologists (to recover team morale after a brutal loss streak).
