From 3am feeds to the PixelPicked newsletter: GRAZE’s next goal is 1,000 players

A year ago, GRAZE didn’t exist. I had a newborn son, Rocco, and a lot of long nights. I’d sit in the dark holding him while he slept on my chest, and I wanted something I could play with one thumb while the rest of me stayed perfectly still.

So I made one.

That’s why GRAZE is a single tap. Hold to rise, let go to fall. You only score by flying right next to things, so the best runs are the ones where you almost crash. It started as a tiny thing to keep me awake and sane at 3am, and somewhere along the way it became a real game.

Rocco just turned one. GRAZE grew up alongside him. There’s now a new course every day that everyone on earth plays, weekly leagues from Bronze to Diamond, challenge links to race your friends, and hundreds of aliens to collect that evolve through five stages. It’s in 9 languages. And it’s still just me making it, late at night, the same way it started.

This week PixelPicked featured GRAZE’s story in their video newsletter celebrating 1,000 games on the platform. Seeing something I built with a baby on my chest sitting alongside 999 other games honestly got to me. Thank you, PixelPicked, for shining a light on small creators like me.

And thank you to every one of you already playing. Hundreds of you have opened GRAZE, set scores and climbed the daily board. I see every one of those runs, and I read every single review. You’re the reason I keep building.

But I want to take it further. My goal is 1,000 players.
