How I Got the Idea for Light the Lamp?
The idea for Light the Lamp actually came from watching real people play small puzzle games.
At the time, I noticed a few people playing simple arrow-based puzzle games. I also saw many developers and companies building similar games. That made me think:
If people enjoy these simple games, can I build something with the same simple vibe, but make the puzzle more interesting and different?
I didn't want to just make another arrow game. I wanted to create something that was easy to understand, relaxing to play, but still made players think.
That's when I came up with the idea of connecting wires to light up a lamp.
The concept was simple: rotate the pieces, connect the wires, complete the circuit, and light up the lamp. 💡
I also liked that this type of puzzle could work for a wide range of players. Kids could enjoy the simple gameplay, adults could enjoy solving the puzzles, and even older players could play it without needing to learn complicated controls.
But the idea didn't stop there.
As I continued developing the game, I kept improving it and adding new ways to play. I introduced Kids Mode, Daily Challenges, and a local 1v1 split-screen battle mode.
What started as a simple idea inspired by seeing people enjoy small puzzle games slowly evolved into a much bigger puzzle game with different modes and challenges.
That's how Light the Lamp: Logic Puzzle came to life from a simple observation, a different idea, and a lot of iteration.
And I'm still improving it.
