Version 3 Demo

Uploaded the new demo for the Version 3 overhaul:

We are back with a major development update for Myne Zapper! As we approach our September release window, we’ve been hard at work overhauling how you interact with the grid. If you've tried our older tap-to-zap prototypes, get ready for an entirely different rhythm of play.

Today, we’re breaking down what’s changed in the new demo build, specifically focusing on our brand-new controls and core mechanical loop.

** From Tap to Drag: The Drag-Sync Protocol In previous builds, moving your unit was as simple as clicking a destination tile. We wanted to elevate the tactile tension of navigating a hazardous sector.

Continuous Vector Tracing: You now pilot the MZ-04 Command Cursor by clicking, holding, and dragging smoothly across the grid matrix. Your movement leaves a glowing vector trail that tracks your exact route in real-time.

The Move Budget: Every sector imposes a strict movement limit (Move Budget). Staying within safe parameters keeps your path glowing clean neon blue.

Thermal Backlash & Radiation Penalties: Dragging past your move budget compounds your Radiation Index, draining your resources and threatening a full system meltdown if you overextend.

** Precision Action Economy: Drag, Station, and Tap We’ve split movement and combat into a two-step tactical rhythm to make every decision high-stakes: Position First: Dragging your cursor across the grid only plots your path and relocates your unit. It does not automatically trigger interactions.

Engage on Command: Once stationed on a coordinate, you must explicitly tap the target tile to execute your armed protocol (ZAP, PURGE, or MARK).

** Mathematical Deduction & Signature Matching Guesswork is no longer an option. Hidden Mynes must now be deduced through encrypted coordinate equations before you deploy your countermeasures:

Decodable Equations: Target boxes provide dynamic math equations for the X and Y axes rather than handing you direct coordinates.

Strict Protocol Matching: Different Myne signatures require specific tactical countermeasures. Matching the wrong action to a Myne (e.g., using a Zap on an Unstable target) triggers an immediate Myne Detonation, inflicting heavy damage to your hull integrity (-15 HP) and forcing you to adapt under pressure.

** Environmental Obstacles & Sector Pressure Impenetrable Structural Walls: Fixed barriers now litter the grid, forcing you to carefully route your drag-sync vectors around geometry rather than moving in straight lines.

The 60-Second Sector Buffer: A real-time timer puts a hard clock on your operations, forcing you to decode equations, manage your movement budget, and neutralize your quota before time runs out.

Stay sharp Zappers.
