What is Salmon Samurai?

You're a bear with bills to pay. The river is full of salmon.

Hold and drag: your paw follows your finger or mouse, your claws leave a trail, and anything that trail crosses gets sliced mid-air. No buttons, no aiming, no sword. The bear is the blade.

Every swipe costs stamina. Clean cuts win it back, combos win back more, and flailing at empty water ends your day early. Each night at camp you sell your catch to a raccoon who underpays you. You also draft one tarot card from three. Most cards help and cost you something at the same time. Then every third day the beaver wants the bill paid. The bill nearly doubles every cycle, and the day never gets any longer.

What's in the demo

• The first 10 days of a run. Three bills come due, so you'll see the river, the card draft, the shop, and how fast the bill grows.
• The starting cards and shop items. Card picks, charms, relics and weather are all in.
• Birds that steal your catch, hazards that wreck your combo, and honey to collect.
• Unlimited restarts. Every run plays out differently.

What the full game adds

The full game is out October 12 on Steam and Google Play:

• Endless days. The run goes until the bill beats you.
• Unlocks. Spend your honey on new tarot cards, shop items and upgrades.
• The full deck of thirty-nine cards, instead of just the starting set.
• The trophy book, the collection, and achievements.
