Alenir Idle 0.3.9.8: Realm Chronicles and the Battle Sim

Battle Sim

Tap Simulate on any monster in Combat, or on a floor of the Infinite Spire, and the game runs a few hundred headless fights with your actual hero. You get:

  • a win rate and a danger rating (Safe, Moderate, Dangerous, Lethal)
  • average fight time, remaining HP and damage per second
  • a sample transcript of one fight

There are two modes. Single fight answers "can I beat this?". Sustained farm chains fights for 30-minute sessions and reports kills, EXP, gold and potions used per hour. You can start from full health or from your current state, with the buffs and cooldowns you have right now.

It accounts for skill cards, relics, potions, your combat pet and Spire hazards. It does not simulate dungeons, rifts or world bosses, and the modal says so. These are estimates, and results shift a little between runs.

Realm Chronicles

The old Analytics page is now Realm Chronicles, with three tabs:

  • Live Session: gold, kills and EXP per hour for your current session. It keeps counting when you leave the page.
  • Hero Legacy: your lifetime milestones, win rate, and top enemies, items and skill cards.
  • Realm Pulse: realm-wide figures. Nothing is published there yet, so it says "not available" instead of showing made-up numbers.

Under the hood

The part I care about most: the simulator does not have its own copy of the combat rules. It drives the same per-tick code as live combat, so when a combat rule changes, the simulator changes with it. A parity test runs the real game tick and the simulator side by side for 60 ticks across 13 scenarios (specials, relics, potions, pets, kills and respawns) and fails if any value differs.

Building that turned up a nasty bug before release: a relic that modified stats in place leaked into the shared base stats, and over a few hundred simulated fights one relic build ended up with absurd attack power. It is fixed and has regression tests.

Android

Fixed a layout bug on phones with an on-screen navigation bar, where the bottom menu overlapped the system buttons.
