Devlog: Masterji joins the chase, with better hands
A small update from the gali.
Masterji joins the chase. The school teacher with his wooden scale is the third new chaser in the shop's CHASERS tab, after Sharma Aunty and Havaldar Pandey. His question as he runs after you: where is your homework?
Hands that really hold things. The chasers used to grip their chappal, jhadu, lathi and scale with a stiff, twisted-looking hand. We rebuilt every hand in Blender: each finger now closes round the handle, the thumb tucks in beside the first finger, and each item is made to fit the fist.
No more twisted shoulder. Raising the arm used to wring the sleeve into a knot at the shoulder. Two new twist joints now spread that turn along the arm, the way a real arm does, so the arm goes up cleanly with the fist beside the head, ready to strike.
Settings in one place. Sound, tilt to steer and the camera view now sit behind a gear in the top right corner of the menu and the pause screen.
Next up: a street dog chaser, then a bicycle that saves you and mission levels. All of this comes in the next Android beta update; the demo here doesn't have it yet.
