I made a game solo in the hours around my newborn, and I have no idea how to get it seen
I want to be honest in this one instead of selling.
I built GRAZE: Edge Rush by myself in the small pockets of time around my son being born. He is 10 months old now, and the early mornings and quiet nights became the hours I taught myself to actually finish and ship a game. It is on the App Store, it works, people play it, and I am proud of it.
Here is the part nobody warns you about. Making the game was the easy half. Getting anyone to see it is the hard half, and I am figuring that out in public with zero marketing budget and no audience.
So I am just going to ask directly.
If you have a second, try it. It is a one thumb arcade game with a simple hook: you score by almost dying. The closer you skim the obstacles without touching them, the higher your Heat multiplier climbs. Everyone plays the exact same daily course and races the same leaderboard, and there is now a Daily Wins counter that tracks every day you finish number 1. No ads, no in app purchases, ever. That was a promise I made to myself.
What would genuinely help me right now:
- Play it and tell me what you actually think. Not to be nice. The blunt stuff is the useful stuff.
- If a run makes you smile or rage, that is the moment. A screenshot or a clip shared anywhere is worth more to a game like this than any ad I could run.
- If you know the daily leaderboard is only fun when it is full, so even one run today makes the whole thing better for everyone.
I am not a studio. There is no team behind this, no publisher, no budget. Just one person who wanted to make something clean and hard and honest, and is now learning the unglamorous work of getting it into people's hands.
If you have ever wanted to help a small game get off the ground, this is one you can actually move. Try today's daily and tell me your score. I read everything.
Thank you for reading this far. It means more than you know.
