Infitnite Update III Is Here: Evolving Monsters, Ranked Climbs, and Live Events
Infitnite Update III: Evolution is now live on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
If you're discovering Infitnite for the first time, I'm Walt, the solo indie dev behind it. I've been gaming for 30 years and training for 20, and Infitnite is where those two parts of my life meet. It's a fitness fantasy RPG: your real workouts, nutrition, learning, and community activity develop your Avatar, the Warrior who represents you in the game.
Update 2 came out on October 6, and it felt like the real launch. A lot of new players joined, went straight to the newest parts of the game, and told me what they wanted next. Update III is the first update built on that foundation, with 190+ gameplay updates in two weeks.

Your monsters now evolve as you get stronger
Until now, a monster was something you fought once and recorded in the Bestiary, your record of the monsters you've met. With Update III, your monsters now evolve as you get stronger.
A monster starts at a form that matches where you are today. There are ten forms, from Lesser to Legendary. Beat a monster with room to spare and you can Empower it, five steps per form, and then Evolve it. Beat the stronger form and it's yours. Lose, and nothing changes.

Evolving plays a short ceremony. The monster's egg cracks open to reveal its new crest, and every new form pays a one-time reward.

Progression that respects a real body
This was the design problem I spent the most time on. In most RPGs, the numbers only go up. Real training doesn't work that way. People plateau, take a week off, come back from a break, or just have a rough day.
So you always decide when a monster evolves. It stays at its current form for as long as you want, which means a plateau never forces a harder fight. After a break, or after two tough fights in a row, the game suggests an easier form. And if one of your sets beats a monster early, it can evolve on the spot to meet you. If that new form wins, you still keep the kill you earned.
I want a system that rewards getting stronger without punishing the weeks when life gets in the way.
Ranked climbs and live events
Every Quest you complete now counts toward your Quest Score, your competitive rating on the public leaderboards. Reach a new division and you earn its milestone reward, once per Avatar, with a full promotion ceremony.

Infitnite now supports limited-time events too. To celebrate Update III, Double Evolution Rewards runs from October 21 at 5 PM PT until October 28 at 5 PM PT. Each new form you reach on a monster pays double its one-time reward.
And a lot more
Workouts synced from Apple Health, including Apple Watch sessions, now pay Combat rewards. Meals you log earn Alchemy XP. You can post short videos in the Warrior's Circle, our in-game forum. Monster fights take place in realm environments. And your missions count what you actually did, from Quests you finish partially to sleep that syncs the next morning.
Bring your next workout into Infitnite
Update III is this big because players told me what to build next. Thank you to everyone who sent bug reports, feature requests, and honest feedback, and to everyone here on PixelPicked who's followed along.
You can start free, with no ads, microtransactions, battle passes, or paying for power. Vanguard is an optional subscription for additional tools and guidance.
I'd love to hear which monster you evolve first. Explore Infitnite and start playing at fitnessfantasyrpg.com.
