From 4×4 to 8×8: see how Tessera’s puzzles grow

The numbers are already on the board. The part you choose is where each region goes.

I’ve put together a short look at Tessera’s three puzzle types: Logic, Chroma and Equate. It starts with small boards, then shows the range from 4×4 to 8×8. Bigger boards give you more room to explore—and more ways for one region to leave a tricky gap elsewhere.

Logic asks you to avoid repeated numbers within a region. Chroma uses colour recipes. Equate uses arithmetic targets and unlocks through progression. Every region needs the right size and must connect edge-to-edge.

These are features already in the game; this is a clearer look at how it plays. The website also has a separate tour of Rush, Echo, Fog and Mosaic Run. Challenge modes unlock through progress, and Free daily limits apply.

Tessera is free on iPhone and iPad, with ads and optional one-time purchases. Core puzzles work offline; there’s no subscription.
