Tessera: The Mosaic Puzzle

The numbers are already there. Your job is to decide which cells belong together.

Designed for one-thumb play on iPhone, Tessera is something to pick up when you have a few minutes to spare. Start with a small board for a short break from your routine, or choose a larger puzzle when you want to settle in.

Tessera turns that idea into three puzzle types: Logic, Chroma and Equate. Start small and explore boards from 4×4 to 8×8, with 600 Journey levels and core puzzles that work offline on iPhone and iPad.

• Logic: make equally sized regions with no repeated number inside each one.
• Chroma: group coloured cells to match each region’s colour recipe.
• Equate: group numbers to satisfy arithmetic targets. This puzzle type unlocks through progression.

Every region must have the required size and connect edge-to-edge. A group that works on its own can leave an awkward gap elsewhere: the challenge is making all the regions fit.

Journey gives you a path through the puzzles; Free Play lets you choose a board. Tutorials, undo and hints help you learn. As you progress, unlock extra challenges: race a computer-controlled rival in Territory Rush, memorize and rebuild regions in Echo, work around hidden cells in Fog, or tackle successive rounds in Mosaic Run. Sizes vary by mode; Mosaic Run starts at 3×3.

Free to download and play. Tessera includes ads and limits on some challenge modes. Optional one-time Premium removes ads and expands access to unlocked challenge modes; Hint Packs are also available. There is no subscription. Core puzzles need no game account. Ads and purchases require internet, and ad availability varies.
