Tessera: The Mosaic Puzzle
Media Assets

Game Description
Hi, I’m Ahmed. Tessera is my first game, built over around nine months as a side project alongside my full-time job. It started with a simple idea: what if the numbers were already there, and your job was to find the regions?
You divide each board into connected regions, with every cell belonging somewhere. There are three modes:
- Logic: make equally sized regions with no repeated number inside each one.
- Chroma: group coloured cells to match each region’s colour recipe.
- Equate: group numbers to satisfy arithmetic targets. This mode unlocks through progression.
Each region must have the required size and connect edge-to-edge. A group that looks right on its own can leave an awkward gap elsewhere, so the puzzle is making all the regions fit together.
Tessera is available now on iPhone and iPad. The core puzzles work offline without a game account. You can work through Journey or play Free Play puzzles, with tutorials, undo and hints to help along the way.
It’s free to download and play, with ads and limits on some challenge modes. Optional purchases include one-time Premium, which removes ads and expands access to unlocked challenge modes, and Hint Packs. There is no subscription. Ads and purchases require an internet connection; ad availability can vary.
I used AI tools extensively for development, coding and debugging, and AI assistance for this description. Tessera does not run an AI model during gameplay.
The App Store lists Tessera as 4+. PixelPicked does not offer a 4+ category, so this listing uses its next higher age category, 7+.
