This policy explains what data PixelPicked collects, why we collect it, and how we use it. We have written it to be readable, not to bury things in legal language.

Who we are

PixelPicked (pixelpicked.com) is the pre-launch ecosystem for mobile games. When this policy says "PixelPicked", "we", "us", or "our", it refers to the PixelPicked platform and its operators. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@pixelpicked.com.

What information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the platform and provide developers with accurate playtesting data. Information you give us directly: - Your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account - Your name or username if you choose to provide one - Game details, HTML5 builds, descriptions, and devlogs if you are a developer submitting a game - Structured feedback, bug reports, and ratings you submit after playtesting a game - Messages you send us directly Information collected automatically: - Gameplay Analytics: When you play hosted HTML5 builds, we automatically collect session lengths, in-game click heatmaps, framerate performance, and crash logs. - Usage data: Which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you navigate the site. - Your approximate location at the country level, derived from your IP address. - Device type, operating system, and browser type. - Referral source — how you found PixelPicked. We use Google Analytics to collect general site usage data. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your payment information — there is nothing to pay for. We do not collect your phone number unless you choose to provide it. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not track you across other websites. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: - To operate the platform — managing game submissions, waitlists, developer pages, and player accounts. - To provide developer analytics — sharing aggregated gameplay metrics, performance data, and your structured feedback with developers so they can improve their games. - To communicate with you — sending updates about your game submission, notifying players when followed games launch, and sending our newsletter if you opted in. - To improve the platform — understanding which features are used, where people drop off, and what to build next. - To prevent abuse — detecting and removing spam submissions, bot voting, and inappropriate content. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Email communications

If you join the waitlist or sign up for an account, we will send you emails related to PixelPicked. This includes platform updates, game launch notifications for games you have followed, and our weekly newsletter if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account, submissions, or password resets.

Cookies

PixelPicked uses cookies for the following purposes: - Analytics — Google Analytics uses cookies to track usage patterns. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. - Session management — keeping you logged in if you have an account. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the platform (like logging in or voting) may not work correctly without them.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and strict access controls that limit who on our team can access user data. No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services

PixelPicked uses the following third-party services that may process your data: - Google Analytics — usage tracking and analytics - Google Tag Manager — managing analytics scripts - Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure - Firebase / Google Cloud — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns about how they handle data.

Your rights

You have the right to: - Access the personal data we hold about you - Correct inaccurate data - Delete your data — request that we remove your account, feedback, and associated data - Opt out of email communications at any time - Object to how we process your data To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@pixelpicked.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

PixelPicked is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of the page. If the changes are significant, we will notify users by email. Continued use of PixelPicked after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
