This policy explains what data PixelPicked collects, why we collect it, and how we use it. We have written it to be readable, not to bury things in legal language.

Who we are

What information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the platform. Information you give us directly: - Your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account - Your name or username if you choose to provide one - Game details, screenshots, descriptions, and devlogs if you are a developer submitting a game - Feedback or messages you send us directly Information collected automatically: - Basic usage data — which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you navigate the site - Your approximate location at the country level, derived from your IP address - Device and browser type - Referral source — how you found PixelPicked We use Google Analytics to collect usage data. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your payment information — there is nothing to pay for. We do not collect your phone number unless you choose to provide it. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not track you across other websites. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: - To operate the platform — managing game submissions, waitlist signups, developer pages, and player accounts - To communicate with you — sending updates about your game submission, notifying players when wishlisted games launch, and sending our newsletter if you opted in - To improve the platform — understanding which features are used, where people drop off, and what to build next - To prevent abuse — detecting and removing spam submissions, bot activity, and inappropriate content We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Email communications

If you join the waitlist or sign up for an account, we will send you emails related to PixelPicked. This includes platform updates, game launch notifications for games you have followed, and our weekly newsletter if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account or submissions.

PixelPicked uses cookies for the following purposes: - Analytics — Google Analytics uses cookies to track usage patterns. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. - Session management — keeping you logged in if you have an account We do not use advertising cookies. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls that limit who on our team can access user data. We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of the page. If the changes are significant, we will notify users by email. Continued use of PixelPicked after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
