Lumen Vault 0.4.1: Game Enhancements and Expanded Visual Lab

Version 0.4.1 adds a complete Game Enhancements pack alongside a much larger Live Visual Lab. The goal is to make Lumen Vault easier to learn, more rewarding to master, and more personal without sacrificing puzzle clarity.

New players now receive an interactive controls tutorial, followed by a contextual first-use guide whenever they encounter a new optical component. The guides explain both the component's rule and a practical routing tactic, and they can be replayed later from the menu.

Ambience and beam audio now begin at restrained defaults, with separate controls for ambience, beam effects, music, UI, and other effects. Completion results have also been expanded with clearer performance information, personal records, achievement notices, and the number of attempts it took to earn a perfect result.

Google Play Games integration now supports profile cloud backup, seven achievements, and daily and weekly leaderboard records. Short chapter transmissions add atmosphere and context as players move deeper into the Vault, while playable expansion trials provide a safe way to experience expansion devices separately from normal campaign progress.

Privacy-respecting difficulty analytics are available as an optional feature. Sharing is off by default and is limited to aggregate puzzle-difficulty counts, with no device IDs or advertising IDs.

Every part of the Game Enhancements pack is reversible. Players can disable the entire pack or switch individual systems on and off without deleting progression or first-use state.

The visual side of the update is substantial too. The accent palette now includes 32 distinct colors, ranging from Cobalt, Indigo, and Lavender to Ruby, Copper, Champagne, Chartreuse, Jade, and Mint. The duplicate Normal option has been removed, with existing settings automatically migrated to Cyan.

Board customization has grown from 12 surfaces to 28. New materials include Midnight Ceramic, Brushed Steel, Pearl Alloy, Copper Plate, Sandstone Composite, Aqua Glass, Amethyst Glass, Magma Plate, Moonstone Alloy, and Void Glass. These are more than tint swaps: every surface has its own metallic response, smoothness, base color, and visibility tuning, while supporting the Smooth, Brushed, Machined, Forged, and Hex Tech detail treatments.

The Live Visual Lab now uses the same pointed metallic controls as the main menu, every cycling option has reversible arrows, and the categories use a roomier two-row layout. This release also improves animated beam-pattern visibility, beam-color separation, filter glow, board lighting, customization startup behavior, and general interface consistency.

Version 0.4.1 is about more than appearance: it gives players better guidance, stronger progression feedback, connected records, optional trials, and deeper control over how the Vault looks, sounds, and communicates.
