Smoother Controls, Clearer Optics & Component Glows
Lumen Vault's latest updates focus on making optical arrays easier to inspect and more satisfying to solve. This update brings distinct component glows, an RGB prism, and more control over how each device looks, alongside freer board controls, clearer optics, and improved hints.
Freer board controls
Rotate the board freely with a swipe instead of being limited to 90-degree steps. Zoom in closer while keeping the far zoom limit, and use Reset Board Position to restore the board’s rotation as well as its position.
Clearer optics on Android
This update improves board-surface detail on Android and beam alignment as the board rotates. Mirror visuals now better match the direction a beam reflects, making the light path easier to read.
Hints that leave room to think
Hints now work in two steps: the first highlights a cell with a circle, and the second places the component with a random rotation. That rotation can sometimes be correct, but you may still need to adjust it.
Menu fixes
The Back and Core Optics buttons in Expansion Optics now work correctly.
Component glows and per-type customization — 0.4.3 follow-up
Each component type now has its own color identity to help distinguish devices at a glance. The prism combines red, green, and blue glow across its crystal bands and hardware.
The glow comes directly from the components themselves—not added floating halos or crowns. Metallic finishes and surface detail remain, and important optical colors stay meaningful: emitters, receivers, filters, and fusion inputs/outputs retain their gameplay colors.
In Customize → Components, choose a device type and adjust its visibility and size independently. Component choices are included in your saved visual profiles, and you can reset one type without resetting everything.
The three styles keep the update reversible:
- GLOW adds component-body emission.
- TRIM keeps the colored trim without body emission.
- CLASSIC restores the original presentation.
This follow-up does not change puzzle layouts, inventories, or pars.
Thanks for playing and for sending detailed feedback—it helps shape each update.
