About this game
Pass the phone. Trust no one.
Imposter Word is a pass-the-phone party game of secret words and sneaky bluffing. Everyone gets the secret word, except the imposter. They only get a vague hint. Give clues, spot who's faking it, and vote them out before they figure out the word.
How a round works
- Pick a mode, category and difficulty, then add 3–12 players.
- Pass the phone around. Each player privately reveals their role.
- Take turns giving clues out loud, then discuss who's suspicious.
- Vote. The most-voted player is eliminated and their role is revealed.
- Crew wins by catching every imposter. Imposters win by blending in.
Features
- 1, 2 or 3 imposters — Classic, Double Trouble, Triple Threat, or Random
- 12 categories — Food, Animals, Sports, Movies, Countries, Vehicles, Jobs, Nature, Technology, Places and more
- 3 difficulty levels — they change how obvious the imposter's hint is
- AI-generated words and hints when you're online, with a large built-in word list when you're not
- Custom Words — add your own secret words and play with them
- English and Roman Urdu word and hint support
- Discussion and voting timers, with a private voting step so nobody sees your vote
- Statistics and Achievements saved on your device
- Works fully offline — no account, no sign-up
Privacy first
Player names and game history never leave your device. No ads, no accounts.
Perfect for family nights, road trips, hangouts and parties. One phone is all you need.

AI disclosure
Yes, AI is used. In-game secret words and hints are generated at runtime by Google Gemini (via a server route) when the player is online. If AI is unavailable, the game falls back to a built-in word list. No player names or personal data are sent to the AI.
