Game Description
Filipino Dama brings the familiar Filipino board game to a browser and Android, where it is available as Dama Royal. Built by solo developer John Rey, it offers AI practice at Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty, online casual and ranked play, and private rooms for playing with friends. The game uses an 8 × 8 board with 12 pieces per side, mandatory maximum captures and flying kings. Illustrated rules are available in English and Tagalog.
John grew up learning dama with cousins and neighbors in Romblon and built the project to keep it accessible to another generation. A more 3D-like appearance for the board and pieces is planned; no release date has been announced.
