Game Description

The volcano is waking up, and the lava is coming for you.

Pebble, a small stone explorer with a leaf backpack and glowing eyes, wakes up at the bottom of an awakening volcano. The only way out is up: a tower of 8 hand-built sections leading to a peaceful sky island at the summit. There's no countdown on screen. The rising lava is the timer, and it speeds up as you climb. Stand still and you're toast!

How it plays Jump, climb and dodge your way up each section, catch your breath on the Resting Ledges, and keep moving. Falling isn't the end: you just land lower and keep climbing. Only touching the lava ends your run.

Features

  • 8 hand-designed sections, from easy Basalt Steps to the fiery Crater Rim
  • A fresh tower every run: sections shuffle within each difficulty tier and can be mirrored
  • Crumbling pumice, steam geysers, drifting magma rocks, spinning stone wheels, vine walls, updrafts, fire jets and rolling boulders
  • Cooling crystals freeze the lava for 3 seconds
  • Collect ember shards on risky routes and earn up to 3 stars per climb
  • Smooth movement with coyote time, jump buffering and variable jump height

Game modes

  • Climb: a brand-new tower every run
  • Daily Tower: the same tower for everyone each day, with slightly faster lava. Beat your daily best!

Controls

  • Keyboard: WASD or arrow keys to move, Space to jump, drag the mouse to look, Q/E to turn the camera, Esc/P to pause
  • Touch: virtual joystick, JUMP button, drag the right side of the screen to look

Charming low-poly visuals and all-synthesized sound. Plays instantly in any modern browser, on desktop or mobile.

AI Disclosure

Yes, AI was used. The game was built with Claude Code (Anthropic), so all of the code is AI-assisted: the gameplay, physics, level layouts, UI, build scripts and testing tools. The game contains no external art or audio files. Every 3D model, texture and visual effect is generated by that code at runtime (low-poly Three.js geometry and canvas textures), and every sound effect is synthesized live with the Web Audio API. No image, music or voice generators were used. The store images (logo, banner, screenshots) are rendered from the game itself. The game text and this store description were written with AI assistance. [CONFIRM: your own role, e.g. design direction, playtesting and review of all AI output.] [CONFIRM: any other AI tools you used outside Claude Code, or write none.]
