Game Description

Sensonym turns short interactive stories into vocabulary practice, using your phone’s movement, touch, microphone and camera.

Start with The Dawn Loaf, a cozy mystery set in a bakery inherited from your great-aunt. Every dawn, a warm loaf appears outside, even though the bakery is locked. With Spanish selected, blow on your phone to cool the bread and reveal caliente (hot), wipe the screen to clear dust and learn limpiar (to clean), or shake your phone to sprinkle sal (salt). Each action moves the story forward and introduces a word connected to what you’re doing.

Other adventures take you aboard a snowbound night train, into an Arctic station, and backstage in Seoul. Across the stories, there are more than 40 interactions involving movement, sound, touch and your surroundings.

Learn Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian, Malay or English. Read stories in your app language or the language you’re learning, hear vocabulary pronunciation, and practise with a short review after each chapter.

The first chapter of every story is free. An optional monthly or annual subscription unlocks the complete story collection. Available on iOS and Android.

Watch the 30-second Spanish demo of The Dawn Loaf.
