About the game

LAST CROWN is a turn-based deckbuilding roguelike built around card duels.

Choose your next opponent from 5 duelists, each with their own deck and ace cards. Win the duel, open a 5-card pack, then pick 1 of 3 of their best cards to take with you.

Between battles, rebuild your deck to exactly 20 cards, with a maximum of 2 copies of each card. Every new card means deciding what to cut.

The run

Clear 4 stages, then face the gatekeeper, the final boss, and the true final boss. Lose once and the run is over.

Between runs, you keep 1 new card from your run (3 if you win), and you can bring 3 cards from your collection into your next run.

Duel rules

  • 20 HP
  • Energy increases by 1 each turn
  • 3 monster slots
  • No traps or responses during your opponent's turn

Content

  • 150+ cards
  • 40+ duelists

Platforms

  • Free to play in the browser, no sign-up required
  • Playable in desktop and mobile browsers
  • App Store and Google Play versions planned (release date TBD)

AI Disclosure

The game's visual assets, including characters, card artwork, backgrounds, and the logo, were created with generative AI (ChatGPT). Claude Code was used under my direction for coding assistance, story text, English translation, and trailer production. ChatGPT was also used to brainstorm parts of the card set. I designed the game and its core systems, and did the playtesting myself.
