Game Description

Swamps II: The Blockade is a choice-based interactive fiction — the sequel to Swamps — set in Nazi-occupied Belarusian Polesia, winter 1942–43.

The occupation has sunk into the land, and a punitive blockade sweeps the partisan region: the ring tightens, villages burn, people are herded away. You are Mikhaś, the same village feldsher — but now you are not alone: you are carrying a child. Your choices from Part One carry over and shape how this ends.

Bigger in almost every way. A second playable protagonist, Rezo, walks a path of his own — with his own prologue, POV interludes and whole chapters. 450+ hand-painted illustrations, an atmospheric original score, and eleven languages you can switch in-game.

No heroes, no right answers — only the price of every choice, which someone living always pays. Stark realism in the tradition of Vasil Bykaŭ.

Free, offline, single-player, playable to all of its endings. An optional "Author's Edition" adds bonus content and removes ads. The story, choices and prose are hand-written; the illustrations were made with AI tools and curated into a single painterly style.

Part Two of the Swamps trilogy.
